Dear Temple Community,
We are proud and delighted to announce that Kim Cole has accepted the position of Interim Executive Director at The Temple-Tifereth Israel. She will officially enter into the position on December 10, 2021.
In this position, Kim will oversee and direct the staff in the ongoing operations of our Temple, its administrative and fiscal functions, the implementation of its programs, its fundraising efforts, and support of the Board and Board committees. We look forward to her partnership with the Senior Rabbi and President of the Board in leading our Temple.
Kim succeeds Christie Yonkers who has served The Temple as Executive Director for approximately five years. Under Christie’s leadership, The Temple has experienced a sequence of significant transitions, weathered the COVID-19 crisis, as it modernized, professionalized, and integrated core functions and processes. We thank Christie for her visionary leadership and skill and recognize her transformative contribution to the Temple.
We thank to Christie for her strong leadership during a period of many challenges and look forward with optimism and assurance to Kim’s vision, direction, stewardship, and partnership in the months to come.
Kim is fully prepared to assume this leadership position at The Temple. Before serving as Assistant Director at The Temple, she served as Development Director at B’nai Jeshurun and Development Officer at Montefiore. She has successfully launched and managed significant projects, supervised staff, consulted, and devised strategic initiatives in a number of not for profit organizations, including large institutions of higher learning.
Since her arrival at The Temple, Kim has managed and overseen the successful recruitment and registration effort for the Temple Learning Center, directed significant improvement in our database management, and supported all Temple departments and programs.
On a more personal note, Kim grew up at The Temple, where she became a bat mitzvah and confirmand. She looks forward to further getting to know the congregants and welcomes congregants reaching out to her at kcole@ttti.org.
