FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Temple-Tifereth Israel to Offer American Red Cross Babysitting Course

Open to all teens in the community

The Temple-Tifereth Israel will present the American Red Cross Babysitting Course on February 13 and February 20, 2022. Led by a certified instructor from the Red Cross, the course teaches teens age 11 and up the skills needed to be a successful babysitter. This includes appropriate care for infants and children, age-appropriate activities, how to handle certain types of behaviors, and understanding what to do in an emergency. The course also includes CPR/AED and First Aid certification. The cost for the course is $75 per participant and all participants must commit to both sessions. Proof of COVID vaccination is required. More information is available at https://bit.ly/templebabysitting.

This course is open to all teens in the community looking to become certified in child care, CPR/AED, and first aid. Membership to The Temple is not required.

About The Course
Designed and taught by experts, Red Cross Babysitting certification course materials are interactive, informative, and fun. Created to help provide the best care possible, the program can help deliver compassionate care, and learn to interact with infants and children in fun, age-appropriate ways to build a rapport with the children, learn to understand them, and tailor care to meet the family’s needs.
Upon successful completion, the CPR/AED and First Aid certificates are good for two years, and refresher materials are available at any time during the certification period.
