SHABBAT: FRIDAYS AT 6:00 PM
Please join us as we come together to welcome Shabbat each week. Attend services in person or online which can be viewed here, on The Temple’s Facebook page, or on YouTube.
Kabbalat Shabbat
Kabbalat Shabbat welcomes Shabbat combined with Torah reading to create an experience of reflection, learning, and worship. We welcome people of all ages, but it is geared for teen families and adults.
Jazz Shabbat
In a unique musical Shabbat experience, our clergy is joined by some of Northeast Ohio’s top jazz artists!
Shira Chadasha
This service includes our choir and exciting musical elements.
Nefesh Shabbat
This family-friendly, intergenerational service is spiritual and approachable for all. It is a warm and soulful experience enriched with special musical selections and a live band! We welcome everyone in our community to engage with the wisdom, ritual, and melodies of the Jewish tradition.
The word “nefesh (נפש),” meaning soul, reminds us that prayer is not only through our Jewish text but also the spontaneity of our heart. At Nefesh Shabbat we set aside time to explore our personal and communal practices while uncovering new parts of ourselves as we turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Young Family Shabbat
This service is full of fun and music and is open to young families (children birth through Pre-K) from all religious backgrounds. Families enjoy Shabbat silliness with Rabbi Yael Dadoun and Jesse Jukebox!
At the conclusion of the service, we send attendees home with matzo ball soup and challah!
This program is supported by the Wortzman Family Outreach Fund.
Commemorative Shabbatot
Throughout the year, we mark occasions with special commemorative Shabbatot such as Kristallnacht, Yom HaShoah, Four Chaplain’s Day, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and more. These services include themed music and other content to mark the occasion.
